Styles (default, 1 or more): Just one style - it's a heavily customised version of the Tech 2 style from vBstyles.com

Board won awards? Never won any awards. But then this is the first time I've submitted my web site for something like this. :)

Is registration required to view board? Nope.

Tell us more: The web site has grown year on year and I'm now trying to add more "content" to the web site so it starts to move away from being just forums - this has consisted of adding quite a few different sections to the web site in recent years thanks mainly to a few great vBulletin hacks (vBadvanced, vB Links Directory, PhotoPost Pro etc). The web site is used primarily by people in the Aberdeen area of Scotland to form bands, organise gigs, discuss gigs and music in general. Considering the small size of the city (less than 250k people) and of it's music scene I'm constantly surprised at how popular the web site has become!

Why is your forum the best? Because I think it is one of best web sites to show how online communities can quite literally change people's lives. There is many registered members on aberdeen-music.com that if it wasn't for the web site would not have becomes good friends (both online and offline) with other registered users, would not have formed bands, would not have gone to local gigs and would have never discovered what there is to discover about Aberdeen's local music scene. The web site goes to show that even if your potential "audience" is small, there is no reason why you can't have a thriving online community dedicated to it!
