thanks for the welcome ,but i'm afraid i have my first problem,
after installing vbulletin i tried to instal vbportal and that was wrong ,because vbulletin must be installed in a subdirectory of vbportal ,so i reinstalled everything (even xamp) and installed a new folder in htdocs ,called "forums" ,
when trying to install vbulletin first in "forums" everything runs good until the point i can log in to the forum (after setting the Admin )it says "there is a problem with the database try to refresh etc.." ,looking in the database it seems everything is installed ,what can be the problem ?the config.php ? i use php designer 2006 ,so first time good ,second time problem
there must be something i do wrong
