This is just a quick tutorial for modifying your cookie timeout settings...
Why edit cookie timeout settings?
Cookie timeout settings are a nice little trick to make your board look more active than it is. Users are more likely to signup at a board with 20 users online than a board with 5 users online. Editing the cookie timeout will show your users online for a little longer than usual. It won't hurt your users, it will improve your forum. You can set the cookie timeout to whatever you want. I personally have mine set to 1200 seconds, or 20 minutes. You can set yours to whatever you like. vB defualt is 900 seconds, or 15 minutes.
Ok, so how do I edit them?
Go to your vbulletin admin control panel. Open the vb options menu, and go to "Cookies and HTTP Header Options". Once there, edit your Time-Out for Cookie setting to be whatever you want. The time is in seconds.
Enjoy.
